John Scwhert
After leaving the corporate advertising world in 2004, Schwert produced and directed The After Hours (his first short film) and Among Brothers (his first feature film). Among Brothers is a true story based on the actual events surrounding the 1994 murder of a college senior in Florence, SC. Among Brothers screened at 16 film festivals, then was picked up and released worldwide in August, 2006.
Schwert joined SoCal Film Group in 2006 and directed his first short, a Doritos Crash The Super Bowl XLI spec commercial, with the group in October, 2006. He has also worked in various capacities for Dreamworks, Columbia Pictures, Apatow, MJZ and Pytka Productions. He is currently raising funds for two feature projects while continuing to enjoy his work with the SoCal Film Group. |
