SoCal Film Group's membership embodies three key values: participation, expertise, and respect.

SCFG films often. We turn out in force and work intensely on every shoot. Our members bring a wide variety of experience and knowledge to each project, and we get our films made by operating with an easy-going professionalism.

Marshall McAuley

mjmcauley@hotmail.com

After a childhood amongst Southern Baptists, Austin hippies, & Montana survivalists, Marshall decided to rebel and seek out the crass commercialism of Hollywood. He first contributed significantly to the decline of the Montana State University Film program and then moved to Los Angeles in 1999. Since then he has avoided working in movies as much as possible and spends his time picking toe cheese, practicing cinematography, and occasionally pretending to direct. Sadly, he’s fooled 3 or 4 people and his shorts have played at the NY International, Silverlake, and Newport Beach Film Festivals. Please be nice and don’t laugh when he tells you he’s an “Award Winning Filmmaker”, which apparently he likes to sprinkle into conversations.
